She is in desperate need of a handicap van to take her to appointments in Boston and to be able to go on outings in the community. A fundraising goal of $48,000 has been set to purchase a handicap van with a 10-year warranty from Ride-Away located in Londonderry, N.H. Democrats turned in 1 million signatures in January. They need 540,208 valid signatures to force an election. Walker had until 5 p.m. Monday to file any challenges. Campaign spokeswoman Ciara Matthews says the campaign simply didn't have enough time to study all the signatures, calling Monday's deadline impossible to meet. The state Government Accountability Board, which oversees Wisconsin elections, is still working to verify the signatures. The board has until March 19 to rule whether enough valid signatures exist to trigger an election. R&B star Ciara was left reeling over the chilling photo of Whitney Houston lying in her coffin, branding the shot "terrible". National Enquirer editors obtained grainy images of the late superstar taken at the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey, where a private wake for close friends and family was held last Friday (17Feb12). A picture of Houston in her coffin was printed on the cover of the magazine, and Ciara is horrified the photograph was even taken. In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "It is terrible that someone would take a photo of someone's body at rest & sell it to a magazine!!! just terrible!" Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her Los Angeles hotel suite on 11 February (12) and was remembered by family and celebrity pals during an emotional four-hour memorial service on Saturday (18Feb12).
