DREAM RESULT FOR EVANS
Jonny Mudball: Nottingham winner
Durable two-year-old Dreamy Ciara gave trainer David Evans his fourth win in the last five years of the EBF Betfred "Will They Won't They" Novice Stakes at Nottingham.
The Multiplex filly made her debut at Kempton a week and a half ago and followed up by winning at Wolverhampton, and her experience stood her in good stead as she led along the rail under Padraig Beggy.
Richard Hannon's newcomer Black Monk, the 8-11 favourite, came to challenge but was not helped by jockey Pat Dobbs dropping his whip with a furlong to run and Dreamy Ciara (2-1) regained the initiative to score by a length.
"This was worth four and a half times what she cost!" said Evans.
"This race always cuts up and you've got to go when they are ready. She'll probably go for another one at Newmarket next Wednesday."
Beggy, who recently moved from Ireland, added: "She's a tough, game filly. I came over to ride for Dave on March 31. I'd ridden a few times for him before and things had dried up for me in Ireland. I hope there's many more to come."
