Richards, a 5-9 setter from Palm Springs High School, was a three-year letterwinner for the Indians. She was a first-team All-CIF selection in 2010 and helped her team to three consecutive Desert Valley League titles from 2009 to 2011. In addition, her team was a CIF semifinalist all three seasons. "When I saw Auburn, I was blown away," Richards told The Desert Sun. "The campus is big, the academics are really good and they treat the athletes really well. I loved the coaches, the girls and they told me when I commit they wanted it to be in a creative way." The Like A Boy hitmaker raised concerns for her wellbeing after she turned up to the Roll Over Hunger charity event in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday in a wheelchair wearing orthopedic boots on both feet. Ciara, who is known for her energetic dance routines, failed to provide a reason for the medical shoes, but according to MediaTakeOut.com, the singer fell awkwardly after jumping in the air in four-inch heels. But Ciara refused to let the injuries dampen her holiday spirit - she took to her Twitter page on Thursday to wish her fans a happy Thanksgiving. She wrote, "Its (sic) all about doing whatever you can to make a difference! Tonight was a GREAT night! LOVE. Happy Turkey Day to ALL!"

Saturday, November 26th 2011 | Leave a Comment Atlantas music royalty packed into the citys historic Cascade Skating Rink and donated their time and money Wednesday night to help the homeless and less fortunate at DeVyne Stephens Roll Over Hunger Celebrity Charity and Skate Jam Wednesday night. The guest list for the charity event included Ludacris , T.I. , Young Jeezy , Big Boi , Toya , Polow Da Don , Ciara (who showed up in a wheelchair and wearing braces on both legs) and many others. Through this star-studded event, DeVyne Stephens and his DeVyne Intervention foundation were able to raise thousands of dollars to help feed Atlantas homeless. All of the proceeds went straight to he Hosea Feed the Hungry Foundation Holiday Dinner Program, which provides four major meal service events for Atlantas homeless, serving over 200,000 hot meals every year. She was among Atlantas music royalty last night who took a trip down memory lane at the skate rink for DeVyne Stephens Roll Over Hunger: Celebrity & Charity Skate Jam. Held in Atlantas historic Cascade Skating Rink, the Roll Over Hunger event allowed Atlantas A-list to join forces with the community and have some good old- fashioned holiday fun, all in the name of helping the less fortunate. Under the leadership of music mogul DeVyne Stephens and his DeVyne Intervention Foundation, thousands of dollars were raised to help feed Atlantas homeless. We love Ciara but it feels like the the R&B siren has been gone for way too long. In her return into the studio for her next album, producer Hit-Boy revealed details on collaborating with CiCi on a new track. The 24-year-old in-demand producer behind the Will Ferrell-sampled hit Ni**gas in Paris crafted an untempo record with song writer, Soundz. If you are a detainee at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, like most prisons you are entitled to three square meals and the promise of human treatment. But the detainees at Camp Five have revolted on occasion. The guards wear face masks to avoid being sprayed with human excrement. This is such a problem that guards have designed a way to avoid physical contact with the so-called highly non-compliant prisoners. Guards use a splash box from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a temporary attachment to doors of detainees to protect them from prisoners who splash urine and feces at them.
