Isang magandang sorpresa para kay Ciara Sotto ang pagkakuha niya ng dalawang nominasyon sa 2011 BroadwayWorld (BWW) Philippines Awards.
Ang masigasig na theater actress ay na-nominate para sa mga kategoryang:
Best Leading Actress (Musical) para sa kanyang pagganap na Mimi Marquez sa Rent.
Ang Rent ay isang musical na tumatalakay sa HIV-AIDS sa buhay ng ilang bohemians.
At Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role/Ensemble Role (Musical) para sa kanyang role na Helene sa Sweet Charity.
Ang musical na ito ay tumatalakay sa buhay ng isang dancer na laging nai-in love sa maling lalaki.
Parehong successful Broadway musicals ang Rent at Sweet Charity.
FIRST TIME IN R.P. Ito ang kauna-unahang pagtatanghal ng BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards sa ating bansa.
Ang parangal na ito ay iginagawad sa mga pinakamahuhusay na personalidad sa larangan ng teatro.
Nagsimula ang nasabing parangal sa www.broadwayworld.comisang online site sa U.S. na naka-focus sa industriya ng teatro.
Taong 2008 noong inilunsad ang BroadwayWorld Awards sa U.S. at U.K.

"I'm so happy.
"I'm actually more than grateful already that I'm nominated at all. Parang enough na yun sa 'kin.
"But I hope I win kahit ano do'n.
"Kasi pareho kong pinaghirapan yun. I gave my all and I learned a lot from both characters."
