Student Spotlight: Sidney
Student Spotlight takes us to Montana where two young ladies are sharing the top graduate honors. Here are Ciara Parks and Madeline Warner.
(Madeline Warner, Sidney Senior) "There's a lot of opportunity to get into any field that you want to. For instance, there are a lot of social sciences classes other than just the ones you're required to take so you can get interested in and learn about anything you want."(Ciara Parks, Sidney Senior) "I really like the different classes offered and you have a lot of choices about what to take. Also, the teachers are very supportive and help you whenever you need it and encourage you to do well."(Madeline Warner, Sidney Senior) "My favorite subject is math. I've taken an extra math class and Mrs. Gephardt is my favorite math teacher. I really have enjoyed the social sciences courses here too. Mr. Fallmer is the teacher and he's very good."(Ciara Parks, Sidney Senior) "I'm drawn towards math - I've taken an extra math class and I also like business classes and so I've taken classes like word processing and accounting. Mrs. Stedman is one of my favorite teachers - she's very involved and so supportive."(Madeline Warner, Sidney Senior) "I'm going to the University of Chicago and plan to study math and perhaps economics although that's just an idea now. After college, I don't really know - and going to college will help me figure out what to do with that, but something with math."(Ciara Parks, Sidney Senior) "Next year I'm going to Minneapolis and attending University of St. Thomas. I plan on going into business and probably accounting but it's not set in stone. I also want to study abroad."
Congratulations to Ciara and Madeline - and all of these honor graduates at Sidney.Graduation day is May 20th for all 90 seniors at Sidney.
