(Getty Images) more pics Ciara (Getty Images) Celebrity rumors can go from mildly unbelievable to downright crazy and wrong. The rumor about Ciara being a man is one of those that is so far-fetched that it's almost laughable. But, people on the interwebs are still trying to figure out if this urban legend has any truth to it. We're here to tell you, no, it doesn't. So, where did the "Ciara is a man" buzz start? Well, it seems as though it started when a man in Ireland decided to get a sex change, and rename himself Ciara. He wrote a blog about it, and somehow that story got twisted and pretty soon everyone was asking whether or not the singer Ciara was born a man. Simple as that. Well, clearly, Ciara is not (and was not) a man from Ireland. In fact, she was bo...

Star Spotting: Ciara Heads To A Basketball Game In A Fur Vest, Obvs

Image
Posted 2 hrs ago by Nicole James in Celebrity , Photos Credit: Splash News There aren't a lot of people out there who can pull off a fur vest, leather sleeves and red lipstick at the same time. But Ciara is definitely someone who can. The " Gimme Dat " singer showed off some of her famous swag on her way to a Knicks game in New York recently, and girlfriend was (as usual) on point. Hair? Bangin'. Nais? Did. Clothes commoners can't afford? You know it. Maybe CiCi and Rihanna can hit up the next basketball game together? Ri's been sitting courtside recently with some pals, so maybe they can move over and make some room for Ciara? They can all talk about traveling the world, being major recording artists, and commanding the attention of everyone in attendance at the basketball game. Yo, can you guys make room for one more next to you? I can't really speak on those subjects, but I'll buy us all some nachos, 'K? Related Content Follow Buzzw! orth...

Tue, Jan 17 2012 by Bitchie Staff | Filed Under: Celebrities If you are wondering what to wear to your next Basketball Game, it may not be a good idea to take some cues from your favorite celebs unless you are a master at walking on the court in 4-5 inch stilettos. Super model Jessica White and her bestie, model Irina Shayk were spotted arriving at Madison Square Garden yesterday evening decked out in fur and stiletto boots while on the way to catch the Knicks take on The Orlando Magic. Irina definitely has no issues walking in stilettos as she conquered that street vent like a pro. BFFs Ciara and Lala Anthony were also spotted at the game. Lala was decked out in a pair of Spiked toe Christian Louboutin pumps (with a 6.25 inch covered heel), while Ciara opted for leather pants and! lace up boots. Both Ciara and Irina chose leather and fur as their courtside outfit of choice. The Orlando Magic went on to beat the Knicks 102-93. Via Getty Images | DM

Science comes to life in Hope Township

HOPE While one could make a connection between science and food, it might be more difficult to understand how using food to present an understanding of science a bit more challenging. However, for Hope Township students, Ciara Tickner, Sean Delahunty, and Michael Rodriguez, the task was a challenge that they took on as an assessment of their knowledge of plant and animal cells. Sylvia Mohlmann, veteran science teacher for Hopes middle school, used the Incredible Edible Cell as a creative project that allowed the students to use their imaginations. The requirements were minimal stylistically, but questions that had to be addressed involved organelles, relationships between parts, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, nucleus, chloroplasts, vacuoles and other scientific labeling. Ciara Tickner remarked that the project boosted her knowledge of plant cell parts. She also admitted that the best part was eating the leftover candy. Ciara used a vanilla cake as her base and then adorned her edib...

Ciara Torres-Spelliscy: Double Barrel Blast From Big Sky Country: Montana Rejects Citizens United

On December 30, 2011, by a vote of 5 to 2 the Montana Supreme Court decided that Montana's ban on corporate political expenditures dating back to 1912 could stand. In a hard hitting decision, the U.S. Supreme Court's take on the role of corporate money in politics in 2010's Citizens United was challenged by both the majority and a dissent. The Montana Court slammed Citizens United from both barrels. Barrel One Barrel number one is the majority opinion, which relies on the particular history of Montana to uphold the constitutionality of the Corrupt Practices Act, a voter initiative, which was adopted on the heels of rampant corporate corruption at the behest of out of state mining interests. As the majority wrote: "the Montana law at issue in this case cannot be understood outside the context of the time and place it was enacted, during the early twentieth century." Montana's "Copper Kings" as they were known bought judges, influenced the legislat...
