The rumor about Ciara being a man is one of those that is so far-fetched that it's almost laughable.

But, people on the interwebs are still trying to figure out if this urban legend has any truth to it. We're here to tell you, no, it doesn't.

So, where did the "Ciara is a man" buzz start? Well, it seems as though it started when a man in Ireland decided to get a sex change, and rename himself Ciara. He wrote a blog about it, and somehow that story got twisted and pretty soon everyone was asking whether or not the singer Ciara was born a man. Simple as that.

Well, clearly, Ciara is not (and was not) a man from Ireland. In fact, she was born in Austin, Texas and then lived in Atlanta, Georgia. Both places are far from Ireland. She became famous around the 2003 mark with her hit "Goodies," and has bee! n making new music recently. And, she's dating NBA star Amar'e Stoudemire. So, clearly, she is not a man.
